Looking for a brunch spot and happened upon Caracol. The experience was unlike any I had experienced. The food was amazing. Everything was hot/fresh. The staff was exceptional. The live music was a pleasant surprise. When I return to Houston, this will definitely be on my list of restaurants to visit.

"What an experience this was! My fiancé and I decided to try this place for dinner last night. We love seafood and steak, so we went for it!! The moment you walk in the door, The hostess as well as one of the restaurant managers greeted you with such a warm welcoming smile. They were so kind & ge … more nuine. The ambience of this restaurant was absolutely exquisite. They has someone singing and playing the piano at the bar, but you heard it clearly in the restaurant. However, it wasn’t too loud. It was so nice! There are fresh roses on the table, the lights were dimmed, and the booths were big and spacious! Now, I have been to several fine dining restaurants, however I’ve never been to a restaurant that had lit up menus! I was SURPRISED lol now that was SO COOL! Our server was Hilary. She was the sweetest, most attentive server ever. Thank you for everything!! As for the food, I don’t feel like my words could thoroughly explain how phenomenal their chefs are. I’ve been in the culinary field for over a decade, so my standards are a bit high. However, all of my expectations were met! For starters, the bread, calamari, and wedge salad were wonderful! I have never had calamari like this. The vegetables were cooked to the perfect crunch! And, it came with two different dipping sauces which paired perfectly with the flavor of the calamari. The bacon on the wedge salad was a little too crunchy for my liking, but Someone else may have loved it. I ordered the scallops, My fiancé ordered the Texas redfish. We both added on a 7 ounce fillet. In addition to our meals, we ordered some mushrooms. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and so buttery! He was overjoyed with how delicious a his fish was as well. For dessert, we ordered the carrot cake. It came with an order of butterscotch drizzle and candied pecans. The carrot cake alone was excellent! Very moist and the cream cheese was yummy as well. I liked the carrot cake without the butter scotch, but he liked it with a butter scotch. So it’s really a matter of preference. Overall, this was probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years. We will be back as soon as possible! "

"Made a reservation a few months in advance and indicated I was celebrating a “friend-anniversary” We enjoyed a seat at the bar with a cocktail while they prepared our table. I ordered a glass of wine and my friend tried the watermelon drink on special. Both were great and the bartenders had a w … more arm energy. When we were seated, there was a nice yellow ribbon on our table which was a nice gesture. The decor is classic but I also updated at the same time. The waiting area and bar have an aged feel to them which adds to the charm. The HRW tasting menu was an absolute steal! The crab cake was fresh and crispy, filet mignon “Oscar style” was one of the best cuts of meats I’ve ever had. My desert was flambéed table side, which was a nice way to end the meal. My only complaint was the cadence in which our meals were given. We had two servers and one of them noticed the lack of attention and certainly made up for it. I will still give them five stars since it was a busy Friday night and they were packed, even after closing time. "

"Fantastic Thai food. You can request the Thai variant or the Laos variable of a dish. Great flavor even if you order mild spice levels. So a recommended place for people interested in trying out Thai food but afraid of spice. But as usual You can get Thai spice levels if desired. Excellent service. … more Dive kinda ambience but that means fast service and great food. There’s a grocery store too with fresh and frozen products. We had the fried mackerel, chicken mussaman curry and satay. The satay was decent and the other two items excellent. It tasted home cooked ?? We will definitely come back and try other dishes. "
